Cwmiar Farm Holiday Cottages
Since 1996, Cwmiar Farm Holiday Cottages have been welcoming visitors to our traditional working farm on the slopes of Llanllwni mountain. Our six cottages were refurbished in 2023 and, following the retirement of the previous owner, are under new ownership.
Our self-catering holiday cottages and 100 acres of farmland provide a perfect base for visitors of all ages. From the mountains to the coast, there is plenty to see and do all year round.

Our Self-catering Holiday Cottages
On the farm, the self-catering holiday cottages are situated around our farmyard. The traditional stone farm buildings are converted to provide six comfortable self-catering holiday cottages. Each cottage, except Machlud Haul, has a wood burning stove or open fire in addition to central heating.
Our cottages can accommodate families or friends of varying numbers. Discounts are available in the quieter months if the smaller cottages are already booked and you will not use all the bedrooms of a larger cottage.
Additionally, some of the self-catering holiday cottages are wheelchair accessible and our amenities are wheelchair friendly.
On the Farm
All of our visitors are welcome to join in with the daily farm routine if they wish. This is when we feed our cows, chickens, sheep and ducks and check on their welfare.
There are other farming activities to join in with too.
These vary depending on the season but can include moving our animals between fields, checking fences and cutting hay.
Away from farming there is plenty to do on the farm. We have two play areas and a club house with a number of games. In addition, there is a communal barbecue area. We have direct access to the beautiful open land of Llanllwni mountain where you are free to walk or cycle and meet the wild ponies.
Horse rides for all abilities is available from a local stables. Please ask us for further details.

Things to Do
As well as enjoying our valley nestled in the countryside of rural West Wales you can visit a huge variety of places of interest, unique towns and things to do. We are not far from the Ceredigion coast with it’s collection of beautiful beaches and coastal walks. The Cambrian mountains, an Area of Astounding Natural Beauty, provide further opportunities for walks and cycle rides away from the crowds. There are also many great places to eat in the area.
