Shopping around here is easy. There is no need for you to pack your car with food, unless you wish to bring with you something special.
You may find it useful to know that ASDA will deliver here now, so you can order your groceries to arrive on the day you do, which will save you shopping as soon as you get here. If you are not vegetarian, it is worth trying our own home organically reared beef and sometimes lamb, pork and often bacon.
We have a village shop and post-office in Llanllwni, which has a good assortment of necessities (1 mile up the road) and is open until 7pm during the week, 5pm on Saturdays & midday on Sundays.
There are several supermarkets around – there is a Londis and a Premier in Llanybydder (2miles down the road) which open from 8 am to 10 pm.
In Lampeter about 8 miles away, there is a large Co-op and a Sainsbury’s, which open until 10pm.
Lampeter is a university town with lots of shops, services, pubs and restaurants.
We have also recently found an organic shop in Lampeter which sells everything from green grocery to soap and shampoo.
Our neighbours sell free-range eggs, if you would like to order some.
Carmarthen (15 miles) is the capital of the County, where there are Morrissons, Tesco’s Extra, Aldi and Lidl.
