Our Self-Catering Holiday Cottages

Cwmiar Farm Self catering cottages for families and couplesOur traditional old stone barns and watermill are lovingly converted into cosy, self-catering holiday cottages for families and couples. With beams, inglenooks and stone walls, each cottage is unique.

Four of the cottages are accessible for wheelchair users. In addition we have made the farm as accessible as possible for wheelchair users so that everyone can join in with activities at Cwmiar.

For added safety we ask that our visitors only drive into the farmyard to pack or unpack their car on arrival and departure day – unless a member of their party has mobility issues. We have a car parking area at the entrance to the farm yard.

About the Cottages

Each cottage has a washer-dryer, or separate washing machine and tumble drier, and a fully equipped kitchen with a full size cooker and oven. In addition the cottages each have their own patio area with garden furniture and a barbecue. We supply all bed-linen and towels free of charge.

A cot and a highchair is available on request for our smallest visitors. In addition we have fitted stair gates to the stairs in our cottages.

Cwmiar Holiday Cottages at winter in the snowThere are carpets throughout the cottages, except in the bathrooms and some of the kitchen/dining areas. As we are open all year round, each cottage has it’s own central heating system. There are thermostatic controls on the radiators as well as the cottage thermostat.

All the cottages, except Sunset View, have a wood burning stove or open fire. Baskets of logs for the fires are available at cost. The oil usage is registered by meter and we charge for it at cost, as is the electricity.

Our dog MarleyWe are dog friendly, of course. Dogs are welcome to come on holiday with you for a small extra charge. We are a working farm with lots of animals and birds all over the place. Therefore we do request that dogs must be on the lead every time you take them out of the cottage. This is for the comfort and safety of our animals and other visitors. However, there are places where your dogs can run freely, depending on which fields our own animals are grazing in. We will let you know when you are here.

“Like coming home …”

The cottages (which range in sizes for small, large and combined families) are clean, comfortable, homely and safe meaning that once the children are in bed, there is real peace and quiet for grown ups and we always come away feeling refreshed. Definitely worth a visit. We can’t wait to return. Read more on Tripadvisor
