About Us
When Jimmy (Gamal) and I (Kay) arrived in Cwmiar in April 1996, he had a vision of his dream – and I thought I was coming to live in a dump!! However, with plenty of blood, sweat and tears (mine too), Jimmy made his dream come true and transformed those dilapidated farm buildings into the beautiful and relaxing holiday cottages they are today. Since Jimmy died a few years ago, I had been finding it more and more difficult to maintain everything and take care of the animals, so I have now retired.
In May 2023 my good friends Gary and Eirlys Owen, and their daughters Alwena and Gwennan, took over Cwmiar from me. I’m certain they will put their stamp on Cwmiar and make it their own while continuing to provide memorable, relaxing holidays for all their guests.
The guests who have visited since I have left, have been saying how much they have enjoyed their holidays and how tranquil and beautiful Cwmiar is, so please come to see for yourselves, you really won’t be disappointed.
