Ty Ceffylau

Ty Ceffylau is a very old stone barn. Formerly it was a stable for the shire horses that worked the fields with their equipment and hay stored on the upper floor. It is now a relaxing and comfortable farm holiday cottage with an olde worlde atmosphere created by the exposed beams and painted stonework.

Ground Floor

The front door leads into an entrance lobby, containing stairs to the first floor bedrooms and a door into the spacious open-plan living area. The sitting area has an two sofas, an armchair, open fireplace and tv/dvd player.

The dining table is at the back of the sitting area and leads to the kitchen. The kitchen has all mod cons including a fridge-freezer, washer/dryer, family size gas cooker, microwave and dishwasher.

Also on the ground floor is the bathroom including toilet, hand basin and bath with electric shower over.

Adjacent to the dining table is a stable-door which opens from the sitting room onto the cottage’s own patio. From the patio you have a view of the mill pond and Llanllwni mountain beyond. The playground is only a short run away. This is close enough to keep an eye on the children but not near enough to be noisy!

 

Bedrooms

The bedrooms are all upstairs. There are two double bedrooms, one containing a king-size  bed. The third bedroom has twin beds. All of the bedrooms have a wardrobe and dressing table with drawers under. Some of the furniture is hand made from wood cut from our own trees blown down in a severe storm some years ago. There is also an upstairs toilet with hand-basin (hot and cold).
